Manchester United Win Eight of Last 10 Premier League Games Against Sheffield United
Blades Stay Bottom After 2-1 Defeat
Manchester United continued their good form against Sheffield United with a 2-1 win at Bramall Lane on Thursday night.
Diogo Dalot scored a stunning long-range goal to put United ahead in the first half, and Marcus Rashford added a second after the break.
Billy Sharp pulled one back for Sheffield United, but it was not enough to prevent them from slipping to the bottom of the Premier League table.
The win moves United up to fifth in the table, four points behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
Dalot Stunner
Dalot's goal was the highlight of the match. The Portuguese right-back picked up the ball on the halfway line and drove forward before unleashing a powerful shot that flew into the top corner.
It was Dalot's first goal for United since joining the club from Porto in the summer.
Rashford Strikes Again
Rashford made it two goals in two games for United with a composed finish after good work from Bruno Fernandes.
The England international has now scored 19 goals in all competitions this season.
Blades Stay Bottom
The defeat leaves Sheffield United rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table with just 14 points from 31 games.
Chris Wilder's side are now 15 points from safety with just seven games remaining.
