Boston Edges Out Indiana in Overtime
The Boston Celtics fought back from a 13-point deficit to defeat the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. The victory puts Boston in control of the series as they head back home for Game 2.
Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 36 points, while Jaylen Brown added 40 points and forced overtime with a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds of regulation. Marcus Smart also contributed with 24 points and 10 assists, while Al Horford chipped in with 18 points.
The Pacers were led by Tyrese Haliburton's 26 points, while Andrew Nembhard added 24 points and 11 assists. Myles Turner, who played a double-overtime game just 24 hours earlier, had 20 points and 11 rebounds.
